Google’s Caffeine Update

Google Caffeine is the newest way Google indexes information available on the web, making fresh content more accessible to users.


Why is this important to you an your website?


In the past, let’s say around the year 2000, it took Google weeks to re-index web content, which it collected and stashed into the ‘bus’ before releasing for searchers. Now, with Caffeine, content doesn’t have to wait to hit the Interwebs. Now it happens nearly real time. Once Google scans your info it gets passed “vip style” to the top of the que, then through the gate on its way to the web, just like someone walking from the airport to a waiting limo (see the Matt Cutts video description of Caffeine at SMX below).
