Google loves list and fresh content and your readers love relevant content aimed at them. Optimisation is an important step that far too many Blogs seem to be forgetting about.
However, optimising a Blog is a bit different than website search engine optimization (SEO), particularly because most Blogs run off standard Blog platforms, or run as a hosted Blog on someone else’s domain name. Also there are design issues that can be unique to Blogs which can impact on your rankings.
So here is advice and tips on how you can optimise your Blog for both users and search engines alike. These tips will keep Google happy and keep you customers coming back for more.
1) Try Not Bad Color Schemes.
While a hot red with a yellow color scheme might be your favorite! What’s your readers expecting. Try using your corporate colours and corporate logos. Try and keep in mind your user experience.

3) Pay Attention to How You Write.
Don’t write long sentences and use spacing between the paragraphs. This will keep you reader engaged but they will not get turned of when they look at a big block of text.

Content is king. Relate you content to your title. Always keep it in mind and try and stay on topic.

Post related links at the bottom of your post to your other posts that are relevant to your current post.
8) Comment.
Comment on Blog posts. Start a conversation with other people. Engage you audience.
9) Use a Customised URL Structure.
Don’t use “permalinks” such as www.myblogsite.com/?p=123. Instead, use www.myblogsite.com/2007/01/01/blog_entry_title_here. Google will search them more easily.
10) Use Categories.
When you write a post, place it in 1 to 3 different categories related to the post. This will make it more user friendly for you reader.
