Shay Murtagh Ltd. and Shay Murtagh (Precast) Ltd. were set up in 1975 and 1981 respectively. Between them, the companies manufacture, supply and install a wide range of concrete products to the building and civil engineering industry throughout Ireland.

Shay Murtagh commenced business in a factory unit at Joristown, Killucan, Ireland. In November 1982, the company purchased a precast concrete factory premises on a fourteen acre site at Raharney where their offices are now based. In earlier years Shay Murtagh (Precast) Ltd. manufactured and supplied concrete wall panels for installation of water storage reservoirs and sewerage treatment tanks. It also manufactured precast concrete bridge beams, industrial frame buildings, watermain road furniture and a range of small precast for the general construction and housing market.
